The purpose of the Maryland Child Care Choices Study is to examine the child care decision-making process and child care choices of Maryland families who recently applied for the Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) program. This first Brief provides an overview of the study’s research questions and design, and describes the sample of families who participated in the baseline survey.
