Tiffany Bamdad works in the early childhood program area. During her time at the University of Maryland, Tiffany worked as a research assistant in the Music and Language Cognition Lab where she helped run experiments testing the cognitive mechanisms behind language and music processing. In this position, Tiffany also completed a senior thesis on the presence of musically relevant intervals in speech.
Prior to joining Child Trends, Tiffany served as an intern with the YMCA Youth and Family Services to provide early intervention services to under-served children and families in Montgomery County, Md. Tiffany’s research interests include exploring the impact of poverty on childhood development, facilitating healthy social and emotional learning in children, and examining racial and economic barriers affecting access to quality care and mental health services. In the future, Tiffany hopes to pursue a higher degree in developmental psychology or public policy.
