Megan Carney is a research assistant within the youth development program area at Child Trends. Prior to joining Child Trends, Megan attended Colgate University where she graduated with a BA in geography and a minor in biology. During her time as an undergraduate, Megan conducted research regarding attitudes and behaviors surrounding Hepatitis C screening and treatment among rural populations in the Adirondack region of New York. She has always been interested in the intersection of public health, social justice, and public policy. Her other research interests include health education, indigenous populations, and community development.
Megan has also interned at Americares in their emergency response department and has worked at the Center for Population Health at the Bassett Research Institute in Cooperstown, NY.
