Jessica Warren is a research scientist on the youth development team. She received a Research Master’s degree in social sciences from the Universiteit van Amsterdam with a concentration in mixed methods sociology. Prior to working for Child Trends, Jessica worked in academic, policy, and nonprofit consulting research. Her areas of research expertise include adult and continuing education, postsecondary student success, student caregivers, trauma-informed programming, and urban neighborhoods.
At Child Trends, Jessica’s work has focused on wage trajectories for youth, educational opportunity and geographic equity, the impact of COVID-19 on Black youth employment, young parenting students, out-of-school time programs, community-guided methods, and conducting data science with a race equity lens.
