Emily Fulks is a research assistant in the education research area at Child Trends. Prior to joining Child Trends, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Michigan Department of Economics, analyzing county-level data for all 50 states to determine trends in unemployment and welfare participation in correspondence with major historical events. Emily graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and a focus area in education policy and urban inequality. Her main research interest is the relationship between access to high quality education and socioeconomic mobility.
