Brent Franklin is the editorial director for Child Trends. In this capacity, he reviews the organization’s written technical and communications-oriented materials with an eye on both substantive feedback and copy edits. He also manages Child Trends’ style guide and offers editorial and strategic support to the blog and Child Trends 5 newsletter. Prior to joining Child Trends, Brent worked as an editor and policy communications specialist in a variety of settings. He was most recently a writer/editor at Palladium, an international development consulting firm. There, he worked specifically on the USAID-funded Health Policy Plus project, which strengthens and advances health policy priorities in developing country settings. Brent graduated from Hamilton College and from American University’s School of Public Affairs, where he received a Master of Public Policy degree.
