Alex DeMand is a research analyst in Child Trends’ youth development program area. Alex graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an MS in applied developmental psychology. She has worked with adolescent and young adult populations across a variety of disciplines, including education, medicine, and public health. Her primary interest is working with youth-serving organizations to investigate mechanisms and supports for high-quality implementation and programming. Alex is trained in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Within the latter, she has expertise in survey-based research, youth participatory research, and applied quantitative methodologies.
