Healthy marriage and relationship education for youth

Child Trends recently completed a project funded by The Office of Planning Research and Evaluation (OPRE) focusing on Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education (HMRE) Models and Measures (3M). The 3M project included an extensive literature review to identify critical components of HMRE programs for youth based on basic research, theory, and evaluation evidence. Building on the 3M work, Child Trends is currently funded by OPRE as part of the Youth Education and Relationship Services (YEARS) contract to explore the extent to which federally funded HMRE grantees’ efforts to serve youth align with the 3M framework, and other best practices for working with youth by analyzing existing data and collecting new quantitative and qualitative data from current HMRE youth-serving grantees.
