Fact Sheets: Understanding the Research on STIs Among Youth Involved with Systems or Experiencing Homelessness

Research BriefHealthFeb 4, 2022

This fact sheet present findings from research on STIs among youth involved with the child welfare or juvenile justice system or youth experiencing homelessness. The studies cited were identified as part of a 2020 review of the literature on condom use, pregnancy, and STI prevention among Activate’s focal populations. We have designed this fact sheet for youth-supporting professionals who want to better understand what the research says about STIs among these populations.

This resource was created by Activate, a research-to-practice translation center bringing adolescent sexual and reproductive health research to youth-supporting professionals. Activate is a partnership between Child Trends and Chapin Hall.
