Since its beginning more than 35 years ago, Child Trends has been about indicators. Because they typically refer to population-wide measures, indicators are more inclusive than measures pertaining to individuals. They can inform initiatives concerned with promoting positive, and reducing negative, community-wide outcomes. The Child Trends Indicator is made possible through the generous support of the Annie E.
