Rapid Rehousing for Families Connected to Child Welfare

Child Trends was contracted by Project Community Connections Inc. (PCCI) to evaluate PCCI’s new housing program. The program uses a blend of public and private funding to provide rapid rehousing—a transitional housing program that provides up to two years of rental assistance—to families who are connected to Fulton County, Georgia’s child welfare system. Our mixed methods evaluation draws on rapid inquiry cycles to provide PCCI with real-time information about the program’s implementation. Evaluation strategies include the use of administrative data, along with interviews and focus groups with families and other key constituents, to shed light on the program’s design, including its benchmarks of success, as well as its implementation facilitators/barriers, reach, and sustainability.
