Kelly Masley

Chief of Staff

For over two decades, Kelly Masley has served as a dynamic, strategic resource to nonprofit CEOs and executive leaders. Kelly acts as an executive “Swiss army knife,” partnering with leaders to implement their strategic vision, maximize systems and processes, and effectively engage staff at all levels to meet organizations’ changing needs. In her role in the office of the CEO at Child Trends, she is excited to foster effective leadership operations among the CEO, leadership team, and board of directors; maximize the CEO’s reach and relationships; and accelerate the CEO’s vision for the organization.

Kelly has spent a significant portion of her career serving two CEOs at Communities In Schools, a national, youth-serving nonprofit, where she helped translate and operationalize multiple strategic plans and organizational redesigns among stakeholders at all levels. She has developed and leveraged deep organizational knowledge and forged positive relationships through extensive, cross-functional group work at an equity-focused organization. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Kelly has served as a subject matter expert on effective project and change management practices, developed systems for tracking and reporting organizational performance, implemented process improvements, managed cross-functional projects, and maximized effective internal communications.

Earlier in her career, Kelly enjoyed stints as an elementary school teacher and an event planner. In her personal time, Kelly enjoys reading, walking, spending time with her husband and teenage daughter, organizing things that may or may not need it, and entertaining friends.
