Holly Keaton is a senior research assistant in the early childhood research area at Child Trends. Holly graduated from Georgetown University, where she majored in psychology and minored in cognitive science and computer science. Her research interests include the intersection of psychology and culture and the ways in which social and cultural factors change our experiences of mental health and early childhood development. At Georgetown, she conducted research that investigated how the relationship between religion and mental health changed as a function of religious denomination. She also worked as a research assistant in Georgetown’s Lab for Relational Cognition, which focuses on relational reasoning and creativity. She assisted with projects that sought to augment spatial thinking abilities in high schoolers and increase communication between areas of the brain related to creativity.
