Debbie Stenoien is a proposal and compliance coordinator at Child Trends. In the proposal aspect of her work, Debbie coordinates accurate and timely submissions and maintains proposal data and reporting. Additionally, she supports the research team by facilitating the use of tools and processes that improve grant & contract compliance.
Prior to joining Child Trends, Debbie served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Botswana working in a capacity building role for a small non-profit organization. Her work focused on HIV education, the prevention of gender-based violence, and care for orphans and vulnerable children. Debbie extended her service to work in the US Embassy, Gaborone, as a project specialist for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to assist in coordination of the national HIV response.
