Claire Vansell

Senior Research Assistant

Claire Vansell is a senior research assistant in the early childhood research area. She is interested in policies that create equitable, healthy, and positive outcomes for children by strengthening the education system. She joins us after spending the past year as a Fulbright English teaching assistant in Germany, where she worked with a diverse group of students at a vocational school. Prior to her last role, she worked at Development Alternatives Incorporated on the USAID INVEST project. In this role, Claire supported the implementation of blended finance mechanisms that totaled $50 Million in USAID subcontracts.

Originally from Orange County, California, Claire now lives in Washington, D.C., where she has resided for the past 6 years. In 2020, she graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor’s in international affairs.
