Alexander Gabriel is a research analyst with the education team at Child Trends. He is experienced in quantitative and qualitative methodology and has focused on equity and civil rights issues in schools. Alexander hold a master’s degree in Education Policy from the University of Maryland, where his thesis assessed the impact of federal education policy change on English Language Learners (ELLs). He has piloted experimental methodology and worked in a variety of education roles, including teaching ELLs in public schools, implementing diversity and inclusion accountability plans, and researching federal, state, and institutional education policy issues. His primary research interests include school segregation, integration, and intergroup attitudes.
