Susan Balding is the media relations director for Child Trends. In this capacity, they manage Child Trends’ presence on social media and in the news, and develop communications strategies for the organization’s various projects and products. Prior to joining Child Trends, Susan worked on the communications teams at NARAL Pro-Choice America and the Economic Policy Institute. Their expertise lies in making complex research accessible and understandable to a variety of audiences.
Susan received a Master of Arts in religious studies from the University of Chicago Divinity School and a Bachelor of Arts in cognitive science and religion from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
