Kathleen Ryan Skinner serves as Child Trends’ senior advisor on matters related to business development and leads lease negotiation and acquisition.

Previously, Kathleen served as senior director of business development, compliance and administration for Child Trends. In that capacity, she was responsible for leading business development management, analysis, and support for the organization. She directed the identification of new research funding opportunities and the proposal development process. Kathleen oversaw Child Trends’ compliance requirements and activities, ensuring compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures. In addition, she oversaw the office administration functions across Child Trends offices, including facilities management, negotiation and maintenance of lease agreements, and management of space needs and vendors.

Prior to joining Child Trends, Kathleen served as research development coordinator for Royal Roads University in British Columbia, Canada, and was the grants administrator for CARE USA in Atlanta.
