Emily Katz is a research assistant in the education research area. Prior to joining Child Trends, Emily served as an education justice fellow with Repair the World in Pittsburgh, where she volunteered in four out-of-school programs and engaged community members in service projects and discussions around social justice. As an undergraduate, Emily interned at the District of Columbia Public Schools Central Office and the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative.
Emily graduated from Dickinson College with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and policy management. Her research interests include education policy and the relationships between schools and communities.
