Diksha is a research analyst in the early childhood development area. Her areas of interest include child and family mental health, coordinated systems of support for young children, and community and school interventions. Prior to joining Child Trends, Diksha studied for a Master’s in human development and quantitative research methods at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. While at Penn, Diksha helped coordinate the Mental Health and Optimal Development research team, which focused on mixed methods research to inform effective mentoring for underserved youth. She also worked as a research assistant at the Penn Child Research Center, focusing on the validity of early childhood measures and quality assurance in preschool centers in Pennsylvania. Diksha tries to actively volunteer in the communities she serves through research, maintaining a connection to the practice world as well.
