August Aldebot-Green, M.A., is the director of communications. He plans and directs strategic communications outreach for reports and projects, and manages the pipeline of products and projects. He manages a team of media and social media strategists, and the editing and design team.
August has placed stories in The Atlantic, NPR, The Washington Post, La Opinion, TIME, and other major international, national, and local outlets. He has worked with clients including the U.S. Office of Adolescent Health, the U.S. Department of Education, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, ZERO TO THREE, The Annie E. Casey Foundation, and others.
Prior to Child Trends, August worked as a communications manager at TAF, an education-focused nonprofit in Seattle, and as a grant writer at Best Buddies, an international nonprofit working on behalf of children with intellectual disabilities.
August’s graduate research focused on the impact of development projects on water and health in Latin America. He has also completed coursework in graphic design at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
