Aryaa Rajouria is a research assistant with the child welfare team at Child Trends. Prior to joining Child Trends, Aryaa interned at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Headquarters, the Huairou Commission, and Autism-Care Nepal. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a major in International Relations and a minor in Economics. As an undergraduate research assistant, Aryaa studied the relationship between conflict-induced displacement and female fertility in Uganda. She also conducted a primary research study on the impact of multiple forced migrations on the cultural and social self-perceptions of Bhutanese-Nepali refugees in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Her research interests lie at the intersections of migration and displacement, maternal and child health, disaster risk reduction, and climate change. She is particularly interested in mixed methods research, and the ways in which evidence-based policies can work to establish and support the holistic well-being of children.
