Anushree Bhatia is a research assistant in reproductive health and family formation for Child Trends. Prior to joining Child Trends, Anushree was the policy/advocacy intern for the Alliance for Excellent Education in Washington DC. Her research interests lie in economic stability for single mothers, quality education for children, and the effect of parenting dynamics on child development. During her time as an undergrad she did ethnographic research at Gorse Children’s Center for Early Social and Personality Development Lab, and researched the relationships between attachment, relationship dissolution and resilience at the Lab in Personality Research. Her passion to understand global issues led to an internship at a language institute in La Plata, Argentina, and she spent a semester at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Anushree graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a focus in research and education.
