PREP, funded under the Affordable Care Act of 2010, is a key element of a multipronged federal funding strategy to reduce teenage pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. Child Trends is leading the development of performance measures for PREP grantees, training grantees on collecting and reporting the measures, providing ongoing technical assistance, and writing reports on PREP grantee performance. Child Trends also collaborated with Mathematica Policy Research on two in-depth implementation evaluations of PREP programs in Kentucky and Texas.
