Hispanic Children’s Participation in Early Care and Education: A Look at Utilization Patterns of Chicago’s Publicly Funded Programs

In this brief, we examine the rates of participation in Chicago’s publicly funded center- and home-based early care and education for low-income Hispanic and non-Hispanic 3- and 4-year-olds. We found that more than 4 out of 5 low-income Hispanic kids are enrolled in preschool, rates similar to those of their non-Hispanic peers.
