This Adolescent Health Highlight makes a research‐based case for why adolescents need health care services. It presents recommendations from leading medical authorities on what specific health services adolescents need and how these services can be provided for maximum benefits. This Highlight also looks at the data showing the proportions of adolescents currently receiving needed services and examines the barriers preventing some young people from obtaining care.
