Vice President of Strategy and Operations, Venture Philanthropy Partners + Raise DC
Chuck Redmond is the VP of Strategy and Operations at Venture Philanthropy Partners (VPP) + Raise DC, a nonprofit organization that acts as a regional backbone for cross-sector collaboration and direct investments, supporting children and youth (ages 0-24) and their families in Greater Washington. Chuck joined the VPP+Raise DC team in 2017 to lead the firm’s business support functions and long-term strategic planning. His role at VPP+Raise DC builds upon work done earlier in his career to build financial sustainability while achieving measurable impact for mission-driven organizations.
Prior to joining VPP+Raise DC, Chuck worked as a strategist with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a rare disease-focused venture philanthropy organization, where he helped define core values for the organization and build a long-term financial model to frame resource allocation decisions against mission-related outcomes. Chuck began his career working as a consultant at McKinsey & Company where he supported clients on a range of topics from corporate finance to organizational health. While at McKinsey, Chuck co-founded the D.C. Social Impact Group which provides pro bono consulting services to nonprofits and social enterprises in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. Chuck holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Finance from the University of South Carolina.
