Type of Evaluation: Outcomes Monitoring.

Summary of Available Evaluation Information: Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) provides services for health, counseling, housing, and jobs to clients infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. Prevention education is offered to at-risk populations. CAP internally evaluates its programs and services to ensure programs meet goals. Client demographic information is collected as well as some outcomes measures after the program. In fiscal year 2004, the Teen to Teen education program served 2,789 youth, and 82% of them reported that they intend to use information and skills to reduce HIV risk. In the Kids' Connection support program, 78% of the 168 HIV-infected and affected children and youth improved health and increased access to medical services. The Emergency Assistance housing program allowed 99% of 54 affected children and their families to avoid eviction. Families of 13 affected children lived in CAP's Transitional Housing program, and 88% successfully transitioned to permanent housing.
