Type of Evaluation: Quasi-Experimental.

Objective: To analyze the factors associated with behaviors of inner-city, at-risk youth and to identify program components that improve the self-sufficiency of students with many risk factors.

Impact/Outcome Findings: A comparison of participants' work experiences before and after participation in the program revealed that they became more likely to have both paid and unpaid work experience. In addition, a comparison of participants and comparison group members revealed that participants perceived fewer barriers to finding and maintaining employment than comparison group members.
