Mission/Goals: The Mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices during their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Objective: To examine the influence of Boy Scouts on positive youth outcomes.

Impact/Outcomes: The evaluation was organized according to the six critical elements of healthy youth development mentioned above. Strong outcomes were found in all six elements: strong personal values & character, positive sense of self-worth & usefulness, caring and nurturing relationships with parents and peers, desire to learn, productive use of time, and social adeptness.
