Mission/Goals: YouthVille Detroit is a comprehensive youth
development center planned for the city of Detroit to provide young people
with a central neighborhood place to learn new skills and develop positive
peer and adult relationships in a safe diverse environment. Any young
person that expresses an interest will be welcomed. YouthVille Detroit
will provide a safe, supportive alternative for youth and help them avoid

Type of Evaluation: Outcomes
Monitoring. Summary of Available Evaluation Information: A large-scale program evaluation is scheduled to begin in accordance with the development and coordination of a multi-tenant youth development center. The evaluation design will soon be completed, and soon thereafter, data collection will begin. Outcomes to be examined over time include school achievement, high school retention or dropout, and youth leadership. |
