Type of Evaluation: Outcomes Monitoring.

Summary of Available Evaluation Information: YouthBiz includes 6 youth-run enterprises, such as YouthTech, which engages youth to train others to use computer hardware and software, a screen-printing business, and a home health and safety auditing service. The Youth Opportunity program works to counsel, train and place out of school youth aged 16-24. YouthBiz has used an entry/exit assessment survey which determines the extent to which the trainees in the program have improved their business and leadership skills and knowledge. YouthBiz found some flaws in their survey administration and is currently working on a more rigorous evaluation.
