Type of Evaluation: Outcomes Monitoring.

Objective: To assess the success of the program.

Impact/Outcomes: Standardized test scores of the program participants suggest that the program may have positive effects on students' educational achievement. In 2004, 75% of the program participants scored within the "proficient to advanced" range for Ohio Department of Education Reading Achievement Test while the percentage who scored in the same range was 55% for the entire students at Citizen's Academy. Similarly, in 2003, the percentage of students who scored in the same range was 92% for the program participants and 76% for the entire students (Note: the study was not an experimental study and students were not randomly assigned to the program, however). According to 2003 Family Program Satisfaction Survey, 88% of families were pleased with the program.

No fee.
