Mission/Goals: Youth Opportunities United aims to support young people in setting goals and reaching those goals, and to instill the value of education. The program aims to decrease participants' contact with the juvenile justice system, increase achievement in school, and strengthen their ability to succeed in life by furnishing them with the tools they will need later in life.

Notes: Youth Opportunities United runs two programs: the Youth Empowerment & Support Program (YES) and the YOU After-School Program. The YES program is modeled after the Youth-At-Risk program started by the Breakthrough Foundation in 1982.
