Mission/Goals: The Inner City Youth Opportunities Program aims to help inner-city children become responsible, educated, caring youth, to teach them life skills, and help them stay in school. The tennis programs aims to integrate sports and character building to help inner-city children develop their talents and abilities. The academic intervention program focuses on helping inner city children reach grade level standards, pass the State of Ohio Proficiency Tests, and become intrinsically motivated to learn.

The Youth Development program allows participants to experience opportunities beyond their neighborhoods and aims to prepare them for life after high school and encourages them to dream bigger dreams.

Notes: The Inner City Youth Opportunities was started by local citizens to help children living in the inner city who were experiencing family problems and struggling to become better students, both academically and socially. Their goal was to help these children develop the ability to resist negative peer pressure and increase the skills needed to achieve their dreams by remaining in school and graduating from high school. The program has experienced recent budget cuts.
