Mission/Goals: Roca's mission is to promote justice by creating opportunities with young people.

Notes: Roca has an after school program that provides educational support, leadership development, sports, arts, and community service. Roca also provides leadership development to youth involved in gangs, and intense relationship building between the street worker and an individual. In addition, there is an ESOL, pre-GED, and job preparation program for 16-26 year olds, and a Healthy Families program that works with young mothers.

Type of Evaluation: Outcomes Monitoring

Objective: The objective of the study was to track exposure to risk and protective factors, as well as participant achievement with regard to Roca's core values.

Impact/Outcomes: The study reports that from Quarter 1 through Quarter 4 there was an increase in sense of belonging and generosity in participants; an increase in positive connections with other people, youth, adults and the greater community; and an increase in participation in community Service, recreation, arts activities and educational activities.
