Mission/Goals: The focus of this program is to provide expanded
academic enrichment opportunities for children attending low performing
schools.
Notes: Services include: Tutorial
services and academic enrichment activities, youth development activities,
drug and violence prevention programs, technology education programs, art,
music and recreation programs, counseling and character education to
enhance the academic component of the program. Within the city of Boston,
21st Century Community Learning Centers are known as Boston Community
Learning Centers. These centers are run through an initiative that
includes the city of Boston, Boston Public Schools, and the Boston Centers
