Dr. Andrews combines a practitioner background as a marriage and family therapist with research methodological experience. She has contributed to research in the areas of adolescent sexual behavior and contraceptive use, teen pregnancy and transition to parenthood, children’s health and well-being as affected by domestic violence, cohabitation and co-parenting, and effects of race and ethnicity on human development. Her research interests include positive youth development, family structure and well-being, early sexual activity and parenthood, fatherhood, and the effects of public policies on families and children.
