MARRIAGE & FAMILY
The Marriage & Family Area looks in depth at union formation and nonmarital childbearing.
Our Work includes examining factors associated with women having births outside of marriage, as well as the transition to (and stability of) marriages and cohabitations. |

We are also studying the predictors of fathering children with multiple partners, and the influence of relationships and social policies on the timing of and circumstance within which men father additional children.
We present our research in the Resources listed below, and our well regarded annual newsletter on trends in teen childbearing in the nation, states, and large cities, Facts At A Glance.
Facts at a Glance 2009 was released in September 2009. A comparison of teen birth rates in large cities as well as a comparison of repeat births in large cities are also available.
